Our core activity facilitators provide consistent, person-centred care home activities and one-to-one sessions, becoming familiar, trusted faces within your home. They build meaningful relationships with residents, adapt activities to different needs and abilities, and ensure continuity of wellbeing support, with built-in cover for sickness and holidays so your activity programme remains reliable and uninterrupted.

Alongside our core team, you have access to a network of specialist practitioners, including Music Therapists and Community Music Leaders, Reminiscence and Life Story Practitioners, Chair-Based Exercise Instructors, Sensory Therapy Practitioners, Creative Arts Facilitators, Dance and Movement Therapists, Intergenerational Project Coordinators, and Wellbeing and Mindfulness Practitioners. This diverse team, which also includes Horticultural Therapists and Spiritual Care or Chaplaincy Activity Leads, enables us to offer a wide array of care home activities. As a result, residents benefit from a broader range of expertise and enhanced wellbeing support, creating a more stimulating programme than what any single in-house role could provide.

Our service can be tailored to meet your home’s specific needs, whether you require short-term cover during recruitment or absence, part-time support alongside an existing coordinator, specialist days, or a full replacement for an in-house Activities Coordinator. We provide skilled activity facilitators who can enhance your care home activities and wellbeing support, all while working with your budget and staffing structure to design a model that offers consistency, resilience, and value.

We believe strong partnerships are built on communication. Our activity facilitators provide regular check-ins with management and activity leads to review how care home activities are running, gather feedback, adjust programmes, and ensure the wellbeing support continues to meet residents’ needs and your home’s priorities.

Golden Connections supports you with inspection-ready evidence, including activity plans, attendance records, outcome summaries, and wellbeing impact notes. Our activity facilitators work diligently to ensure that care home activities align with Care Inspectorate quality themes, helping you clearly demonstrate how these activities contribute to residents’ quality of life, emotional wellbeing, and social connection.

We also provide themed weeks and one-off events, including seasonal celebrations, cultural days, community visits, and special interest programmes, all facilitated by our dedicated activity facilitators. These care home activities add variety and excitement to the activity calendar, create shared experiences for residents and families, and offer memorable moments that enhance wellbeing support and life in the home.
